ECZ urged to be efficient in registering inmates

The Prisons Care Counseling Association PRISCA has urged the Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ to be efficient in registering inmates as voters.
PRISCA Executive Director Godfrey Malembeka says all eligible inmates should be captured by the ECZ.
The ECZ has today started registering inmates.
Meanwhile, the registration of inmates by the ECZ has triggered debate by stakeholders.
A local civic grouping, Gears initiative Zambia has warned the ECZ to be prepared of the outcomes that the voter registration exercise for inmate will come with.
Organizations Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi said the entire exercise to register inmates is wholesomely suspicious.
He said this in an interview with Mafken Radio today
