Ministry Of Education Releases 2024 Junior Secondary School External and GCE Results

The Ministry of Education has released the 2024 examination results for Junior Secondary and General Certificate of Education (GCE) candidates.
Speaking at media briefing in Lusaka Education Minister Douglas Syakalima announced that out of one hundred thirteen thousand one hundred ninety-four Junior Secondary students, eighty-eight thousand five hundred forty-eight passed at least one subject, while twenty-four thousand six hundred forty-five failed all subjects.
Mr Syakalima revealed that for the GCE exams, one hundred thirty-eight thousand eighty-four candidates took the exams, with one hundred twenty thousand six hundred sixty passing at least one subject and seventeen thousand four hundred twenty-five failing all subjects.
He noted that the exams were leakage-free but reported several cases of malpractice, leading to the Examinations Council of Zambia has suspending eight examination centres involved in malpractice.
