30-YEAR-OLD LUFWANYAMA MAN DEFILES 6-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER

A 6-year-old girl of Katembula area of Lufwanyama district has allegedly been defiled by her 30-year-old biological father.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer, Peacewell Mweemba, has confirmed the incident to Mafken FM Radio.
He says the man has been identified as Clement Mwape aged 30, a General worker at ZAFFICO and the incident occurred around 20:00 hours on Wednesday, 9th August, 2023.
Brief facts of the matter are that the mother of the juvenile, Linda Mulanshe, aged 27, reported that she went to attend a funeral in the neighbourhood and upon returning found her husband sleeping in the same bed as his biological daughter and she observed that he was half undressed with his trousers in the Knees.
Mr. Mweemba explains that Mulanshe then became suspicious and immediately the daughter saw her, she ran to her and observed that that her daughter’s underwear was removed from one leg and torn despite having left it intact when bathing and dressing the juvenile a few hours before.
He says that the complainant explained that she then interviewed the child who revealed that her father had come home drunk, started undressing her, played with her private parts before he had carnal knowledge of her and the child complained of painful and swollen private parts.
Mr. Mweemba adds that the complainant confronted her husband about his deed but he was in a drunken state and denied everything.
He says a docket has been opened, with a medical report form issued and the suspect arrested.
Mr says the victim is currently being attended to at Lufwanyama District Hospital.
