PRESIDENT HICHILEMA COMMENDED FOR ELEVATING ZAMBIA-RWANDA RELATIONS

Zambia’s Diplomatic Mission in Dar Es Salam, Tanzania, with extra accreditation to Rwanda, has thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for his continued commitment towards elevating the quality of diplomatic relations between Zambia and Rwanda, and beyond.
Speaking in a statement availed to Mafken FM radio, Deputy High Commissioner, Anthony Bwalya has described President Hichilema’s just ended visit to Rwanda at the invitation of President Paul Kagame as one that has provided a platform of continuous learning and collaboration between the two countries and peoples.
Mr Bwalya adds that, this has been across various areas of trade and investment, particularly the use of technology to facilitate, enhance and accelerate the inclusive delivery of essential public services such as financial services, tax administration and healthcare.
He notes that, the visit also highlighted the need for Zambia to continue leveraging the path of peace and national unity as a platform to achieve rapid socio – economic progress for all.
Mr. Bwalya has since reaffirmed the Diplomatic Missions commitment to playing a facilitating role, as well as innovating new channels of collaboration with counterpart teams in the two countries as they look to build working synergies in other areas of public service delivery at local government level, and support for technology entrepreneurs.
