KAZWALA EMPOWERS 100 MUFULIRA SMALL SCALE FARMERS

Mufulira’s Kantanshi Constituency, Bwafwano Ward Councillor, Webster Kazwala has empowered about 100 small scale farmers with onion seedlings and cabbage seeds aimed at enhancing farming skills in the area.
Speaking after the donation, Mr Kazwala says the move is aimed at supplementing Government efforts of prioritizing farming as a way of alleviating poverty as well as creating employment for the locals through the Constituency Development Fund -CDF.
The Civic leader feels the people in his ward need to be empowered in order to attain self-sustenance.
Mr. Kazwala has since pledged to see to it that Bwafwano Ward residents are involved in different capital generating business ventures which will be key in improving their livelihood at household level.
Meanwhile, the benefiting farmers have thanked the area Councilor for the gesture, and have since encouraged him to continue on this considerate path.
