300 Chingola Farmers Request for Alternative land

Over three hundred farmers in Chabanyama area of chingola district who have been displaced from Konkola Copper Mines KCM land have requested the local authority to consider finding them alternative land where they will be resettled.
The farmers have told Mafken FM Radio that the One Thousand Four Hundred compensation that each of them was awarded by KCM is too little.
One of the affected farmers Maureen Mwape has accused the Chingola Council of being complacent in acting on their demands.
