ECZ REGISTERS OVER 20,000 NEW VOTERS

Electoral Commission of Zambia-ECZ- Chairperson Mwangala Zaloumis has revealed that the commission has from July 2022 registered a total number of 20, 758 new voters under the continuous voter registration exercise which is being conducted in 10 provincial headquarters of the country.
Speaking during a during a stakeholder meeting held at MOBA Hotel in Kitwe yesterday, Ms. Zaloumis said during the period under review, Kasama district recorded the highest number of newly registered voter with 3,439 being captured.
She has since implored District Electoral Officers (DEOs) in the newly introduced districts to up their game in ensuring that no citizen is deprived of an opportunity to register as a voter.
