MUFULIRA CORPORATIVES ASSURED OF TIMELY FISP DISTRIBUTION

Government has reaffirmed its Commitment in ensuring that cooperatives in Mufulira district on the Copperbelt involved in farming will receiving farming inputs on time this farming season.
Speaking during the District Cooperative Day held at Mufulira Rugby Club on July 14, 2023, District Commissioner Saboi Kabika, has assured farmers in the district that Government is working tirelessly in addressing the high cost of doing business to avoid incurring losses especially for farmers involved in various businesses.
And speaking at the same event, Mufulira District cooperative Union Chairperson, Rose Nchinga has implored Cooperatives to create partnerships in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
Meanwhile, Mufulira Lifestyle Cooperative Limited Member Pastor Michael Lambakasa has encouraged farmers to utilize the mineral detector his cooperative has launched for them to do their preliminary land examination for them to know if the fields where they conduct their farming has minerals.
Over 1, 000 Cooperative in Mufulira District were represented in this year’s Cooperative Day which was commemorated under theme “Cooperatives Partners for Accelerated Sustainable Development”.
