The Patriotic Front (PF) in North Western Province has backed traditional leaders in demanding that 15% of the revenue collected by the government from mining companies remains in the province.
The Party laments that the province has for decades generated wealth for Zambia through its mineral deposits, yet little to no meaningful development has been realized in return, therefore it is only fair that a portion of the wealth generated is retained to uplift the lives of the people.
PF Northwestern Province Chairperson Enock Kapalu alleges that The New Dawn administration has failed to deliver on its promises to the people of North Western Province, hence the call to join traditional leaders in demanding meaningful infrastructure development.
Mr. Kapalu has called upon the government to fulfil its commitments and ensure that the province is not side-lined, emphasising that the people of north-western deserve better roads, modern hospitals, well-equipped schools, reliable water and electricity supply.
