Lusaka Man Living with Disability Appeals for Wheelchair Assistance

A 23-year-old man living with a disability in Lusaka’s Kalikiliki compound is appealing for a wheelchair to improve his mobility.

 

Joshua Simutanda told Mafken News that he struggles with movement, making daily tasks difficult. He was unable to pursue his education beyond Grade 6 but remains hopeful about continuing if given the opportunity.

He also expressed his determination to start a business to support his mother.In addition to his physical disability, Mr Simutanda also has speech impairment.

 

Meanwhile, his 44-year-old mother, Grace Nachembe, has called on well-wishers to assist her son with a wheelchair to ease his movement. 

 

She sustains the family through selling tomatoes and vegetables by the roadside.
