Mufulira Residents Laud Cash for Work Program for Hygiene Resolves

Residents of Kankoyo and Butondo Townships in Mufulira District have expressed their appreciation for the government’s cash for work program, citing significant improvements in community hygiene and sanitation.
The residents spoken to, have told Mafken News that the program has resulted in cleaner streets, blocked drainage systems, and a clean environment.
One of the residents Evans Chilufya has insisted for the program to continue saying that it is also helping the vulnerable youths who are currently unemployed to contribute to the development of the country and to sustain their livelihood.
Another resident Fedelis Mwango has thanked the government for the Cash for Work program and has urged that more of such programs should be introduced to foster development in local communities through community participation.
