FREE EDUCATION GRANTS DISBURSED TO ALL PUBLIC SCHOOLS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

The ministry of Education has announced the disbursement of free education grants to all public schools in the country.
Yesterday, the National Action for Quality Education in Zambia (NAQEZ) expressed concerns that the the funds have not yet been disbursed to all schools.
But Ministry of Education Assistant Director, Head of Communication, Kunda Mando says the monies have hit all school accounts.
Ms. Mando has told journalists in Lusaka that government will endeavour to be consistent and disburse the grants timely in order to support the flow of the free education policy in the country.
She further disclosed that a total of over seven hundred million Kwacha has been disbursed of which three hundred million has been allocated to secondary schools, two hundred million to primary schools and the remaining two million will be shared amongst Provincial Education Officers, District Education officers and Colleges of Education.
