Appointment Notice - ERB Board of Directors Chairperson - Energy Regulation Board

Chairperson of the ERB Board of Directors James Banda says the prices of diesel, kerosene and jet A-1 have not been adjusted because the resultant changes in the wholesale prices were below the trigger band threshold of 2.5 percent.

Mr. Banda says in December 2024, the Kwacha steadily depreciated against the United States Dollar by 3 percent thus, the combined effect of the major pricing variables resulted in a notable movement in the domestic price for petrol.

The prices come into effect at midnight on 31st December 2024 and shall remain in effect until revised by the ERB.
