IG Warns Against Flocking Court Premises Ahead Of ECL’s Eligibility Case

Inspector General Of Police Graphael Musamba has warned members of the public to respect the judicial process by refraining from flocking the court premises during the court proceedings in former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu’s eligibility case.

The IG says he is in receipt of credible intelligence that certain individuals are planning to cause disturbances during these proceedings and has since warned that all those wanting to cause disorder will be dealt with to the full extent of the law.

 

Mr. Musamba says the Court proceedings scheduled for December 10, 2024, will be broadcast live on TV hence no one should be seen loitering around the court premises.

 

He has appealed to all citizens to go about their daily activities responsibly and to follow the court proceedings from the comfort of their homes or other appropriate locations.
