Germany Development Cooperation Recognizes CSOs as Crucial to Zambia’s Justice System

Head of the Germany Development Cooperation in Zambia Bernhard Trautner says there is need to widen the operating space for Civil Societies to ensure justice for people is fully attained.
Mr. Trautner says a shrinking space for civil societies to operate in must not be permissible to thrive taking into account the significant role CSOs play in the attainment to human rights and having access to justice.
He said this during the Justice Expo 2024 forum in Lusaka.
And Germany Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) country Director Axel Ulmer said there is need to push for modalities that will ensure that justice prevails through civil society participation and transparency.
