Ministry of Science and Technology Felix Mutati says there is need to carefully study the behaviour of insects that may affect the agriculture sector.
The minister noted that with the adverse effects of climate change at play, there is a possibility of an outbreak of insects that can cause harm to the environment and crops.
And to this effect Zambia will next week hold an African Association of Insects conference which will attract Professors and scientists from around the continent.
Mr. Mutati further stated that there is need for more research to avoid any outbreak of insects in the country that may negatively affect agriculture yields.
