The Initiative for Environmental Protection (IFEP) has called on Zambians to prioritize environmental cleanliness during the rainy season.
In an interview with Mafken News in Kitwe, IFEP Executive Director Francis Witola emphasized the need for increased community engagement to promote better hygiene standards.
Mr Witola challenged civic leaders across the country to focus on community outreach initiatives that would encourage residents to take responsibility for their surroundings.
Meanwhile, Wusakile Ward Councillor Charles Silomba highlighted progress in environmental cleanliness within his ward, noting recent efforts such as the unblocking of drainages to prevent flooding and improve sanitation.
