Kamfinsa Member of Parliament Christopher Kang’ombe says adequate provision of water to some health facilities in Kitwe has been challenging owing to prolonged hours of load shedding.
And Mr. Kang’ombe says over the years, Kitwe has expanded and that up to date, the town has only two water treatment plants that are not sufficient enough to meet the growing population.
He has told Mafken News in Lusaka that in the absence of adequate supply of water to health institutions, government cannot guarantee its citizens of better health.
Mr. Kang’ombe says he has so far presented a paper in parliament demanding for the release of funds to improve the water reticulation system in Kitwe.
