Bowman Lusambo Arrested, Found Hiding In The Ceiling Board

Police have arrested former Lusaka minister Bowman Lusambo for the offence of unlawful wounding in absential .
Following the recent conviction of Mr. Lusambo by the Luanshya Magistrate Court for the offense of unlawful wounding in absential, a bench warrant was issued by the court to ensure his apprehension and subsequent presentation before the Court.
Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga says the Zambia Police Service commenced an immediate search for Mr. Lusambo to effect the court’s order.
Mr. Hamoonga reveals that today, officers successfully located and apprehended Mr. Lusambo at his residence, where he was found hiding in the ceiling.
Mr. Lusambo is now in police custody and will be presented to the court as directed by the bench warrant.
Mr. Hamoonga has since urged the public to respect the rule of law and cooperate with law enforcement officers.
