Agriculture expert Oliver Bulaya has advised farmers benefiting from the Farmer Input Support Program (FISP) to reduce their reliance on the initiative and consider purchasing their own farming inputs.

In a phone interview with Mafken News, Dr. Bulaya emphasized that this approach would enable farmers to maintain productivity even in the event of delays from government.

He also highlighted the importance of farmers becoming self-sufficient and contributing to the country’s food security.

Additionally, Dr. Bulaya has encouraged the adoption of conservation farming tillage systems, which can significantly enhance crop yields.
