EFF Condemns NRFA’s handing over Of 3 Tollgates To The Concessionaire

The Opposition Economic Freedom Fighters- EFF has criticised government’s decision to hand over 3 toll gates to macro ocean Investment the Concessionaire that is upgrading the Road to a dual carriage under the Public Private Partnerships.
In a statement, the National Road Fund Agency -NRFA revealed that it will hand over three Toll Gates on the Lusaka Ndola Road to Macro Ocean Investment Consortium on November 30, this year.
The Toll Gates are Katuba between Lusaka and Kabwe, Manyumbi between Kabwe and Kapiri-Mposhi and Kafulafuta between Kapiri Mposhi and Kabwe.
But EFF Leader Kasonde Mweenda has accused the UPND Government of syphoning money from Zambians through Macro Ocean Investment alleging that the company is owned by President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND.
Mr. Mweenda says there is need to put an end to the tactics that UPND is playing as many are being subjected to poverty owing to the loss of jobs that will result from the hand over.
