Mufulira Stakeholders Consulted Over The Drafted Zambia Nature, People And Climate Investment Plan.

The Ministry of Green Economy and Environment has held a consultative meeting with various stakeholders in Mufulira District over the drafted Zambia Nature, People and Climate Investment Plan -NPCIP.

Acting Director from the National Planning Division under the Ministry of Finance and National Planning Lewis Mwila says the program is aimed at involving community members in selected districts on the copperbelt to build climate change resilience capacity so that negative impacts of climate change can be avoided in future.

Mr.Mwila says after consultations are concluded ,the districts will start implementing the Zambia Nature, People and Climate Investments program by replanting trees and restoring fertility to the soil as well as reducing carbon emissions in the atmosphere.

And Mufulira District Administrative officer Zakeyo Kamanga has thanked the Climate Investment Funds -CIF for the support to prepare an investment plan on Nature, People and Climate.
