Zambia To Experience Stable Power Supply Of 3 hours Daily

Energy minister Makozo Chikote has revealed that with the full operations of maamba calories and normalisation of power imports, the country will experience more stable power supply.


Mr. Chikote has also announced that as of 1st October 2024, the country will have at least 3 hours of stable power supply daily for retail customers while pursing further options to rectify the power deficit.

Meanwhile, the minister has urged stakeholders to stop politicising the energy crisis in the country.

Speaking in Lusaka when he gave an update on the current power situation in the country, the minister also reiterated the need for citizens to invest in alternative solar energy sources.
