Zambia Must Proper Urges Seed Companies To Produce Quality Seed

Opposition Zambia Must Prosper ZMP Leader Kelvin Fube Bwalya has called on seed companies to produce genuine seeds to ensure that Zambia remains food secure.

Mr. Bwalya says there is need for seed companies to produce quality seed that can be used even in the next planting season, as opposed to the current trend were farmers are buying new seed every planting season. 

The opposition leader notes that it is costly for farmers to purchase seed every planting season and this is what is killing the agriculture system in the country.

He has since called on seed companies to produce seed that is able to re-germinate and stand the test of time.
