Three Members Of The Same Family Die In An Inferno In Kitwe.

Three members of the same family have died in an inferno in Kitwe’s Nkana East Area at house number 157 Eagle Street.
The incident happened yesterday while 4 people were sleeping in the house that included, husband, wife, daughter and granddaughter.
Copperbelt Police Chief Peacewell Mweemba tells Mafken News that in the midst of the fire, an 11 months old infant who is the granddaughter survived the fire after the mother handed over the infant through the window to a neighbour.
The baby was rushed to the hospital and her condition is said to be stable while the three bodies have since been deposited to Kitwe Teaching Hospital Mortuary awaiting post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire has not yet been established.
