The United National Independent Party (UNIP) has challenged former republican president Edgar Lungu retire from active politics.

Party Chairperson for mobilisation Mulenga Chileshe says the decision by Mr. Lungu to remain in active politics is compromising his dignity and integrity.
Mr. Chileshe also noted that the country is divided because political leaders are looking at each other as enemies.
And Mr Chileshe has hit hard on sections of society supporting president Hakainde Hichilema’s call to make amendments to the republican constitution.
