Community Action Against Corruption (CAAC) has criticized government for undermining the fight against corruption by failing to appoint a new board for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
In an interview with Mafken News, CAAC Chief Executive Officer Brighton Tembo expressed concern over government’s perceived delay, noting that it has been over two months since the previous board was dissolved.
Mr Tembo has urged government to address the issue promptly, emphasizing the need for both a new director and a fully operational board to ensure the fight against corruption can proceed effectively.
He warned that the current situation is causing significant setbacks, with the anti-corruption efforts limping rather than advancing as needed.
