The Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) has announced that it has indefinitely suspended the examination centre status of eight General Certificate of Education (GCE) centres across the country due to involvement in examination malpractices.
ECZ Public Relations Manager Nicolas Nkhuwa tells Mafken News that the suspension affects a total of 4,771 candidates whose examination results have been nullified.
The suspended centres include two from Mpulungu District in Northern Province, three from Chilanga District in Lusaka Province, one from Mongu District in Western Province, one from Mushindamo District in North-Western Province, and one from Lunte District in Muchinga Province.
Mr. Nkuwa states that the suspended centers will not conduct examinations until further notice, and the ECZ remains vigilant against any perpetrators of examination malpractices.
