Nsungeniko community school in Kankoyo reopens

A former council tavern in Mufulira that has been turned into a school, but was last week shut by the council has been reopened.

The re-opening of the school has raised eyebrows from a certain section of members of the public who have branded the institution as a PF Command centre.

The concerned residents spoken to feel Nsungeniko community school, is actually a branch of the governing PF who are using the facility for political expediency.

The residents are wondering why management is using the school to educate pupils on the importance of registering as voters.

Meanwhile, school Executive Director Paul Chipunka has admitted that management is encouraging pupils to register as voters but has denied assertions that the school is a PF control centre.

He said this in an interview with Mafken FM today.
