The Kitwe City Council has warned residents to stop selling beer at the grave yards.
The council is concerned with increasing reports of unscrupulous persons selling beer at burial sites.
Council Public Relations Officer Tamara Mwanza has noted with concern the escalating trend of beer selling at Chingola Road in liquor and makeshift restaurants.
She adds that the local authority will not condone such behavior because it is a breach against public health guidelines and in particular Liquor Licensing Act no. 20 of 2011.
Ms. Mwanza said this in a press statement availed to Mafken FM radio this afternoon.
