The Tonse Alliance has refused to disclose details of its “Plan B” strategy, despite mounting pressure to clarify its intentions.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Mafken news in Kitwe, Green Party President Peter Sinkamba a key member of the alliance, declined to elaborate on “Plan B”, stating that they are not obligated to disclose their strategy.

But Mr. Sinkamba hinted that a “Plan B” which is in place, will ensure their participation and potential victory in the 2026 elections.

He also reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to participating in the upcoming elections, despite a constitutional court ruling that has sparked controversy.

The ruling, which was made in December 2024, declared that former President Edgar Lungu is not eligible to contest in any future elections, a ruling the Tonse Alliance defies.
