Mufulira Celebrates Police Day with Community Focus

Mufulira district on the Copperbelt Province, joined the nation in celebrating Police Day, honouring the bravery and dedication of the Zambia Police Service under the theme enhancing crime prevention through community participation to foster a secure and peaceful environment.

Mufulira commanding officer Senior Superintendent Patrick Moti emphasized on the importance of recognizing the efforts of all officers and reflecting on the history of the police service, its achievements, and future goals in crime reduction.

 

Speaking at the same event Chief Inspector Annie Conner, noted the police’s key roles in recruitment and firearm regulations, reminding citizens to consult police before acquiring personal guns.

 

This year’s celebrations underscored the vital partnership between the police and the community in maintaining safety.

Meanwhile in Kitwe, Acting Kitwe District Commissioner, Mwamba Mulenga, has assured police officers that the government is determined to continue working on improving police infrastructure, provision of equipment, and recruiting more human resources to bring about efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.

 

Mr. Mulenga emphasized the importance of coexistence between the police and the community. 

 

And Kitwe District Police Officer Commanding Njimba Ilyamupu has praised the sacrifices made by police officers in maintaining law and order.

 

He emphasized the vital role the Zambia Police Service plays in ensuring public safety and security, which is crucial for economic and social development.
