A survey conducted by the United Teachers Union of Zambia (UNITUZ) in Chililabombwe has shown that nearly all schools in the area are implementing cholera prevention measures.

In a Telephone interview with Mafken News, UNITUZ Copperbelt Mobilization Director, Hanyinda Dubeka, shared the findings of the survey, which involved interviews with head teachers, stating that the head teachers reported that they have been educating pupils about cholera prevention.

He disclosed that the program will be expanded to other districts in the Copperbelt to assess adherence to cholera prevention measures in schools.

Mr. Dubeka urged teachers and learners to continue practicing preventative measures to combat the spread of cholera.
