Parliamentary Committee On Education Highlights Importance Of New Education Curriculum

Parliamentary Committee Chairperson on Education Harry Kamboni has spoken hard against the use of outdated school curriculum left by colonial masters.
Mr. Kamboni says there in need for a swift change to embrace modern ideas in the school curriculum.
He was speaking in Lusaka when he exchanged notes with visiting Education International Africa director Dr. Dennis Sinyolo.
Mr. Kamboni regretted that some learners that are undertaking computer lessons still have no gadgets at their disposal and wondered how computer lessons in such schools can be a reality.
And Mr Kamboni stressed that the education sector needs more funding and resources to adequately implement the newly introduced school curriculum.
Meanwhile, Education International Africa Director Dr. Dennis Sinyolo urged African governments including Zambia to invest heavily in the education system in order to foster development.
