Grade 12 School Results Released With More Girls Obtaining Certificates

The Ministry of education has announced the release of the 2024 grade 12 school certificate results with more girls getting more certificates as compared to the boys.
Education minister Douglass Syakalima says out of the 169, 464 candidates that sat for exams 115,532 obtained school certificates showing an increase of 0.14 percent from 68.03 percent who obtained school certificates in 2023.
Mr. Syakalima Further says a total of 50,404 candidates obtained statements while 3,528 candidates failed the examinations. He also announced that there were no any exam malpractices in the 2024 exams.
Mr. Syakalima concludes that the increase in performance despite a larger candidature maybe attributed to the various intervention government has put in place such as the provision of grants, teacher recruitment among others.
