DPP President Antonio Mwanza Calls for Economic Empowerment and Resource Control

Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) President Antonio Mwanza has emphasized the need for Zambia to take control of its natural resources and economy.
Speaking on a radio program monitored by Mafken news, Mr. Mwanza highlighted how foreign countries have benefited from Zambia’s resources, while the country itself remains underdeveloped.
Mr. Mwanza stressed the importance of effective negotiation, involving educated and experienced young Zambians, to ensure fair agreements with foreign investors.
He also argued that Zambia should not rely solely on foreign direct investment to address its economic challenges, Instead, Mr. Mwanza advocated for economic empowerment and resource control, citing the need for Zambia to benefit from its own natural resources.
The DPP leader emphasized that this can be achieved through strategic partnerships and negotiations that prioritize Zambian interests.
