1,000 Households in Chililabombwe’s Kamenza East Connected to High-Pressure Water Supply

Chililabombwe Constituency member of Parliament who is also the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development Hon Paul Chanda Chongo Kabuswe has urged Chililabombwe residents to maintain high levels of Sanitation more especially during the rainy season so as to avoid any outbreak of waterborne diseases such as cholera in the District.
The Chililabombwe lawmaker was speaking when he conducted a spot check on a number of households that have been connected to clean, safe and running water by Mulonga Water and Sanitation in Kamenza East an area in Chililabombwe which since inception has never seen running tap water.
The MP has disclosed and confirmed that one thousand (1,000) households in Kamenza East have been connected to high-pressure running water by the water utility company.
Mr. Kabuswe further encouraged Kamenza East residents to take care of the newly installed water infrastructure so as to maintain its expected lifespan.
He later called for patience among residents, stating that the connection of water to households in the area is an ongoing undertaking, which will be extended to other areas like Kakoso, among others.
