Community Action Against Corruption (CAAC) has expressed disappointment with the UPND Government’s lack of progress on Asset Declaration and the enactment of the Lifestyle Audit Bill.
In a statement, CAAC Chief Executive Director Brightone Tembo argued that the government’s inaction demonstrates a lack of commitment to accountability, transparency, and genuine corruption fight.
Mr. Tembo believes that Asset Declaration and Lifestyle Audit are essential tools in monitoring leaders’ wealth accumulation and preventing corruption.
Mr. Tembo further alleged that, the UPND Government’s reluctance to implement these measures may be driven by individual interests in wealth accumulation.
