Mr Chuula said the extension follows a comprehensive survey conducted by the authority, examining the effects of ongoing load shedding on broadcasting operations.

Initially, the cooling-off period was scheduled for three months, from October 2023 to January 2024.

He stressed that the IBA proactive approach aims to support broadcasters during challenging times and ensuring they have the necessary time to adjust to the ongoing disruptions.
