CRAZ Urges RTSA To Audit PSV Drivers Naming Incompetence Amongst Some Drivers

The Commuters Rights Association of Zambia has urged law enforcement agencies to do a thorough check on all Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Drivers.

Association president Aaron Kamuti says a lot of drivers without valid PSV licences are driving big vehicles and that such is contributing to Road Traffic accidents in the country.

 

He has told Mafken News in Lusaka that the latest report indicate that Motor Bike riders and Yango drivers have both become problematic on the roads.

 

Mr. Kamuti expressed concerns that cases of Yango Drivers involved in the killing of passengers have escalated and called for stringent measures to contain the situation.

He has proposed for the introduction of the Drivers Clearance Bureau that will give credence for one to operate on the roads. 

 

He further called on RTSA and the Zambia police service to up their game in bringing sanity on the roads.
