36 Year old Ndola Man Arrested For Stealing Plasma TV And Decoder

A 36 year old man of Ndola’s Twapia Compound identified as Michael Kabondo has been arrested for breaking in to a house and stealing a Samsung Plasma TV 50 inches valued at 7,650 kwacha and a top star decoder valued at 420 kwacha.

The incident happened on December 17,2024 around 10 hours and was reported to Police by the owner of the items Chungu Chuma aged 41 years of Lubuto  Ndola.

 

Brief facts of the matter are that yesterday at 10 hours, the reporter locked the door and slept since he was off duty. Whilst he was in the bedroom sleeping, he was awakened by some strange movements in the sitting room.

 

He woke up and went to check in the sitting room only to find a male person he later came to know as Micheal Kabondo in the sitting room and had removed the TV from its position together with the Decoder and was about to take the property away. 

Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba says upon the intruder realizing that he has been caught red-handed, he took to his heels and the reporter shouted thief and with the help of members of the public Michael Kabondo was caught.

 

The scene of crime was visited by the Police and it was observed that entry was gained by damaging the locking system and forced the door to open and the same was used as exit. Docket of case opened and the suspect will appear in court soon.
