Alejo Community Project Donates Bicycles To CBVs In Mufulira

A non governmental organization Alejo Community Project in partnership with the Ministry of Health, has donated 60 bicycles to Community-Based Volunteers (CBVs) in Mufulira District.

Speaking in an interview with Mafken News, Alejo Executive Director  Alex Mutale  says the bicycles are intended to honor the hard work of the CBVs and will enable them to reach more children effectively. 

 

During the same event, Mufulira District Health Director Dr.  Abel Hamoonga expressed appreciation for the donation, highlighting that it will help the CBVs achieve their targets in mobilizing children for under-five vaccinations.

He emphasized that the bicycles will also assist in reaching individuals who have difficulty accessing HIV and TB treatment.

 

Community Based Volunteer Beneficiary Easter Miti says  that the bicycles will make it easier to connect with more children, improving transportation for health outreach efforts in the community.
