The people’s pact led by opposition Green party Leader Peter Sinkamba has joined the Tonse Alliance in a bid to put up a formidable force to deliver victory in 2026.
Addressing the media, Mr. Sinkamba expressed optimism of retaining power in 2026 under its 2026 Presidential Cadidate Edgar Lungu citing some of the failures by the UPND as a reason to vote them out.
Mr. Sinkamba says the UPND has failed to deliver on so many of its promises hence they must not be given another term because they will plunge the country into economic distress.
And Zambia’ sixth Republican President Edgar Lungu says he is aware of schemes by the president Hakainde Hichilema to discredit other individuals from contesting by elections in the country.
Speaking when he availed the Tonse alliance candidate for the kawambwa by elections, Mr. Lungu stated that the Tonse alliance will campaign within the law but it will not succumb to intimidation or black mail.
