Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary, Maambo Hamaundu, has rejected claims that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is being used as a channel for corruption.
Speaking in a phone interview on Mafken FM’s chit chat segment, Mr. Hamaundu emphasized government’s successful implementation of numerous development projects across the country, funded by the CDF.
He pointed out that these initiatives have notably benefited young people through training programs and community development.
He has however urged critics to recognize the positive impact of the CDF, despite ongoing concerns over its transparency and effectiveness.
