Government To Draft Payment Plan To Dismantle UNZA Lecturers Debt

Government through the ministry of finance and National planning is in the process of unlocking the payments of debt owed to the University of Zambia Lecturers.
This development has been announced by Labour Minister Brenda Tambatama during the University of Zambia Lecturers and Researchers Union (UNZALARU) 7th Quadrennial Conference in Lusaka.
Ms Tambatama says governments is closely working with UNZA union representatives to draw up a payment strategy that will be used to dismantle the debt as soon as possible.
And Ms Tambatamba said governments is committed to see to it that all public learning institutions are debt free to enable deliver quality services.
Speaking earlier, outing UNZALARU president professor Andrew Phiri called for unity amongst Union Members in order to achieve a common goal.
