Mufulira Mayor Defies Minister’s Directive To Open Mufulira Round Abou

The Mufulira Roundabout on the Copperbelt Province remains closed despite a directive from Provincial Minister Elisha Matambo to have the Round about opened by 17th Novermber, 2024.
Mufulira residents have for a long time lamented over the delays by the local authority to open the roundabout stating that the diverted traffic into township roads is damaging the roads.
Local tranporters have also complained that they have been taking longer routs that cost them a lot of fuel due to the closed roundabout.
Mufulira residents have questioned why the local autholities have decided to ignore a directive from the Provincial minister to open the roundabout.
Meanwhile, efforts by Mafken News to get a comment from Mufulira Mayor Tanaeli Kamanga proved futile as his phone went un answered at broadcast time.
