4,200 Teachers to Be Recruited from Existing Database

Government has warned against corrupt practices as it embarks on the recruitment of 4,200 teachers for the year 2024.
This will bring the total number of teachers recruited to 41,422 since the UPND formed government.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lusaka Education Minister Douglas Syakalima revealed that the Ministry of Education will not advertise the recruitment of teachers this year but will instead rely on the information in the database of applicants who applied during the previous recruitment.
He assured that this year’s recruitment will be transparent and that only eligible candidates will be selected.
