Four Illegal Miners Survive Accident At Luanshya Pit 6

Four Illegal Miners have survived a mine Accident at Luanshya Pit 6. The incident Occurred on 3rd November at 24:30 hours at Pit 6 Luanshya CLM and was reported to police by Gift Kampamba aged 37 also an illegal miner.
Kampamba reported that four illegal Small Scale Miners who were mining at Pit 6, experienced an earth fell and got injured but with the help of other illegal miners, they were rescued and rushed to Roan Antelope Hospital where all are admitted and being treated.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba has identified the 4 as Goodson Nkonde aged 19 who sustained a cut on the forehead, swollen upper lip and cuts on the left leg. Gerald Nkonde aged 24 who sustained painful backache, swollen right fingers, swollen right leg with bruises on the left knee.
The other two are Michael Chiwaya aged 20 who sustained a painful left leg and a cut on the left leg and Haggai Chansa aged 19 who sustained a cut on the forehead and a swollen left leg.
Mr. Mweemba says Police visited the illegal miners at Roan Antelope Hospital and can confirm that their Condition is stable and an inquiry file has since been opened.
