New Antiretroviral Therapy Block Opened at Mufulira’s Kamuchanga District Hospital

The Copperbelt Development Foundation has officially handed over a new Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) block at Kamuchanga District Hospital in Mufulira District on the Copperbelt Province. 

Constructed at a cost of K1.6 million, the facility is set to benefit over 210,000 residents in the community.

 

During the handover ceremony, Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Augustine Kasongo, represented by Mufulira District Administration Officer Zakeyo Kamanga, emphasized the importance of ensuring accessible healthcare for local residents.

 

Copperbelt Development Foundation Board Chair Engineer Edward Zulu, represented by Engineer Kebby Mushili, reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the community. 

 

Mr Zulu emphasized that the new ART block will significantly improve healthcare services for the Kamuchanga community.

 

Community representative Blessings Muchiko expressed gratitude to the Copperbelt Development Foundation for the new facility, noting that it will greatly enhance access to vital health services for residents.
