Information and media permanent secretary Thabo Kawana has emphasised government’s stance of not closing down any media houses during it reign as was witnessed by the previous regime.

Mr. Kawana has however cautioned media houses to operate within the confines of their licenses and regulations to avoid coming into conflict with the law.

Speaking when he toured platinum radio in Ndola this morning, Mr. Kawana also revealed that talks have advanced to provide media houses with back up solar systems to keep stations on air as it has done with the Agriculture Ministry.

The PS also warned media houses against using the media platform to push certain agendas, promote hate speech as well as political violence.
